Letter from an Adopter - Missy & Boo (aka Smokey & Raven)

Hello,

I'm emailing back regarding a phone call from Claudia just looking for an update on Smokey and Raven (now named Missy and Boo). First, I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. Things have just been very busy. Secondly, thanks for calling to see how things are going. It's nice to know there are people who still care about the cats after they're adopted.

Both kitties are doing great! They both are very playful and energetic and adapted to our 10 year old cat, Kemo, very well, as did he to them. We were very pleasantly surprised at how quickly the transition went. I think it may have only been about a week until they fully adapted to each other, and after about three days they were trying to cuddle with Kemo. He has been very patient with them, as they are energetic little kitties who need a lot of attention. We still make sure he gets his much deserved attention too, and for that reason he's happy to have Missy and Boo around to ease the loneliness that came when his brother (from the same litter) passed away.

While both kitties are very lovable, Missy (formerly Smokey) is just THE most lovable cat ever! She is huge on cuddling, always wants to be held and close to your face, and loves to clean human faces or give kisses. She is nowhere close to shy and greets anyone who walks in the door. She absolutely loves human contact. Boo (formerly Raven), on the other hand, likes to be held in small doses (but he seems enjoy this more as he matures), but usually likes to be close by. He always sleeps on our bed, along with his brother and sister, and really enjoys cuddling or being close to his big brother. He also likes to pull chunks of my hair with his teeth in the middle of the night :) but is also getting better at this. Initially, we would catch him trying to nurse on his sister (and even big brother occasionally), but after some intervening on our part he's gotten over that.

Both Missy and Boo are a wonderful addition to our family and we are so happy to have adopted them.

I am attaching some pictures, some of which are more recent than others. I will try to put dates on them.

Thanks again for checking in.
Sincerely,
Felicia & Noah Christensen
